I was certified in The Authentic Method of Body Conditioning in 2002 at the Pilates Studio in New York City. I now teach both matwork and equipment sessions in my private studio in Stoke Newington, London.

Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness.

Joseph Pilates Return to Life through Contrology

In keeping to the original method of Joseph Pilates, I believe intimate one to one teaching is essential to making positive and lasting changes in the body. Each session is tailored to meet the individual needs of the client. Duet sessions with two people are available but only for those who are at the same fitness level.

During my ten years experience teaching Pilates, all of my clients have achieved a stronger sense of overall well-being as well as becoming more aware of their personal physical potential. I feel privileged to accompany their remarkable development on a daily basis.

Who, what & why Pilates?

Joseph Pilates

Joseph Pilates was the inspiring and gifted individual who invented the system of exercises that is known in today’s fitness world, as Pilates. As well as exercise Joseph’s methodology included diet, hygiene, early years development, and much more. He called his philosophy and way of life Contrology.

To achieve the highest accomplishments within the scope of our capabilities in all walks of life we must constantly strive to acquire strong, healthy bodies and develop our minds to our natural limits.

Joseph Pilates Return to Life through Contrology

The Pilates we understand today is the system of exercises based in 6 principals – centring, concentration, control, precision, breath, and flow. The exercises are performed both on the Mat as well as resistance equipment invented by Joseph.

The exercise system helps to re-align the body by strengthening, lengthening, and building a range of motion in the muscles that directly support our skeleton. The Pilates system builds strength and flexibility by challenging the body to stabilise whilst in movement.

Pilates compliments any other exercise and in fact is proven to enhance performance as well as aide circulation, digestion, and release tension in the muscles and joints. It teaches us to support our skeleton properly lending to an economical use of our energy.

The technique Joseph Pilates created is truly a wonderful practice for anyone at any time in life.
