Joseph Pilates Return to Life through Contrology

The Pilates we understand today is the system of exercises based in 6 principals – centring, concentration, control, precision, breath, and flow. The exercises are performed both on the Mat as well as resistance equipment invented by Joseph.

The exercise system helps to re-align the body by strengthening, lengthening, and building a range of motion in the muscles that directly support our skeleton. The Pilates system builds strength and flexibility by challenging the body to stabilise whilst in movement.

Pilates compliments any other exercise and in fact is proven to enhance performance as well as aide circulation, digestion, and release tension in the muscles and joints. It teaches us to support our skeleton properly lending to an economical use of our energy.

The technique Joseph Pilates created is truly a wonderful practice for anyone at any time in life.
